Clash the Clans

Meghan loves helping Daddy play Clash of Clans when he gets home. I was sitting next to Cole on the couch - she worked her way off of my lap and onto Cole's when she noticed what he was doing....

OT Services and SO TIRED!

Today was a big day for Meghan - as a result of some of her bottle feeding difficulties, Meghan was recommended for evaluation by Infant and Toddler Services (pre-age-3 special education services) and she received an evaluation of her skills today. After an hour and a half of showing off her skills and her struggles, Meghan ended up qualifying for early childhood occupational therapy services.

These will start in two weeks in our home in an effort to help her develop more appropriate & effective bottle taking skills and help her transition to solid foods in the coming year. The service providers don't think that she will need services for a long period of time; we're hopeful!

On one hand it's hard to think that there is anything "wrong" with our precious baby girl; on the other hand, she has struggled so much with eating for her entire lifetime and we are beyond excited for some help and guidance.

After an hour and a half of evaluation, Meghan was tuckered out. After 2.5 hours of napping it was late enough in the afternoon that I needed to wake her up so she would go to bed well at night. I opened her door, turned off her white noise machine, and even took a picture of her sleeping so cute - any of those things on their own would usually wake her up - and she still didn't wake up for 10 minutes.

So cute sleeping so hard. I'm so in love with this baby girl!!

Avocado Smash

When Meghan is no longer willing to spoon feed solids, I dump them on her tray and let her play. Yesterday she was particularly enjoying playing in her avocado!

Cuddles

I just think this girl is so cute when she sleeps - especially when she cuddles with Charlotte while she sleeps!

Taggie Blanket Love

My friend Beth made Meghan this adorable taggie blanket with an "m" appliqued on it when Meghan was born - we brought it out this week for our little girl and she fell in love! She loves fabric, toys she can easily move from hand to hand, and tags...this is a winner!!

Also - Meghan is now sitting independently for minutes at a time and is able to lean over and pull herself back up to a sitting position. She cannot seriously be growing up this fast!!

/b/ Sound!!

Meghan has been speaking in only vowels up until late last week - she was so sweet sounding when she talked because there were not any hard sounds interrupting those sweet vowels. However, developmentally, it's time to add some more. I was so excited to hear her start adding /b/.

And, how cute is she when she holds a "conversation" with someone - I LOVE IT!!
