Feeding Therapy Graduate!!

December 3, 2014

This is the face of a little girl who just graduated from OT-Feeding Therapy at Children's Mercy Hospital! We still have OT services through Infant and Toddler and we still (and may always) need to work a lot of sensory into our days - but no more driving to Children's for OT - yay!!

(And yes, she ate all of that food plus three homemade crackers and a bottle - though, those are decreasing in size as she is learning to love solids - Baby Led Weaning for the win!)

Playing Kitchen

Someone pulled up to her kitchen today - she enjoyed patting on it and playing with the sink. I think that she is going to have some mega fun at her kitchen once she is standing well on her own and has some toy food and dishes (she is getting them for Christmas!).

Trying Rootbeer

Meghan tried some of Daddy's rootbeer on Sunday. Her first taste, she hated. Her second taste, she was interested:

She then seemed to want more:

Then she decided that she loved it:

Playing with Baby Jesus

We got out the nativity set that we got from my Uncle Geoff and Aunt Nancy a few years ago (Little People, of course!) when we got home from Thanksgiving. Meghan has been thoroughly enjoying playing with us. We know that she is super young and will not understand the meaning of Christmas, but for the month of December, we have put away most of the other Little People and gotten out the Nativity set to encourage her to play with something that gives us the opportunity to tell her about Jesus' birth. We are also going to stop reading "The Big Picture Story Bible" in favor of reading her "The Story of Christmas" everyday.

Thanksgiving Pictures

Meghan spent time with Mama and Daddy at Mimsie and Papa Deloach's house for Thanksgiving. She did really well sleeping, eating solids, and taking bottles while we were there - yay!!

She LOVED all of the attention from her aunt, uncles, and grandparents! We got some cute pictures - I pretty much could have taken pictures all weekend and gotten great pictures of her with her family!

(Mimsie and Papa were willing to crawl around after me - I think it's soooo funny! Mama and Daddy know they must be sore now - because they are younger than Mimsie and Papa and it makes them so sore to play crawling with me!)

Meghan Mischief

Meghan crawled between the chairs and pulled up underneath the table...she was so proud of herself!

She has also taken to pulling up the mats in the kitchen to play with the anti-slip mats underneath.
