(the second half of) February at Our Home

Meghan got a vacuum for her birthday - one of the first things she did was turn it upside down and use her toy scissors to "cut hair out" like she had seen me do earlier in the week with my vacuum!

Mommy and Daddy gave her a Cozy Coupe and a Balance Bike for her birthday - the balance bike is still too tall for her short little legs (we hope it will fit later in the summer) but the Cozy Coupe was an instant hit!

This picture makes me laugh - we promise to teach her to keep her hands on the wheel and eyes open before we start letting her drive on the open road!

I know have a vacuuming helper!! She's so cute and so very proud of herself.

She has struggled with stairs for quite some time. Then after she had the necessary skill was just afraid of them - but no longer! Meghan is now going up the slide and down the slide by herself!!

We've had some really nice days and have taken advantage of as much time outside as we can get on those days....so here come a whole lot of pictures of her outside. When we go outside I try to be as hands off as possible to just let her explore and imagine. But, the camera is almost always with me as I want to remember all of the sweet things she is doing. She loves being outside and can keep herself very busy for a very long time!!

She loves her new "windmill" that we got for her this year - this year's is a rainbow which makes it even better! All things are better with rainbows in her eyes!

We broke all of her crayons in half to encourage her to use proper finger/hand muscles when coloring as she tends to have some delays in motor skills. That quickly converted her to using her hand correctly and she has been enjoying her "new crayons" immensely the rest of the week.

I thought her outfit was especially cute on Sunday :) She had no smiles for me when the camera was out - as soon as it went away she was all smiles - of course!

More outside pictures:

Little girl, big ball, bigger world....

While she was up in her "fort" she told me "Mommy, Meghan sing snowman song." and then proceeded to sing "snowman, snowman, snowman,....." over and over again. I'm not sure where that idea came from, but it cracked me up!

"Heart leaf, Mommy! Green heart leaf, Mommy!" She was so very proud of her discovery and went to store it with her other outside treasures in her "pucket."

Daddy was able to finish putting the polyurethane on her barn that he built her - to say it is well loved would be an understatement. The animals have been put in and taken out so many times! They love their new home!
