I put her in the tub leaning in the corner and she used her strong core to sit herself straight up - she stayed sitting independently for most of the time since she could stable herself on the sides and the surface could move and adjust while she balanced herself.

Sensory Box Play
Meghan played in the sensory box on the front porch for about 30 minutes yesterday afternoon. It's a box from my teaching days filled with beans, rice, and birdseed. She seemed to have a blast kicking, raking her fingers through the textures, and picking them up and dropping them.
I put her in the tub leaning in the corner and she used her strong core to sit herself straight up - she stayed sitting independently for most of the time since she could stable herself on the sides and the surface could move and adjust while she balanced herself.
